Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will handle a broad range of employment matters, including litigation, counseling, and administrative proceedings. This role is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes employment litigation cases, and to provide strategic advice and counseling to our clients on a wide range of workplace issues. This position requires a deep understanding of labor and employment law, exceptional analytical and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  1. Represent clients in all aspects of employment litigation, including federal and state lawsuits, arbitration proceedings, and administrative hearings before agencies such as the EEOC and NLRB.
  2. Provide advice and counseling to clients on a wide range of employment issues, including hiring, termination, wage and hour compliance, leave management, disability accommodations, and employment policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct thorough and efficient legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
  4. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of employment agreements and documents, such as employment contracts, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and employee handbooks.
  5. Conduct workplace investigations and audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs for clients on various employment law topics.
  7. Stay updated on the latest developments in labor and employment law and identify potential impacts on clients.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the Florida Bar.
  3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a focus on litigation.
  4. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in employment litigation cases.
  5. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  6. Exceptional legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and effectively communicate complex legal issues and strategies.
  9. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
