Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and interpret insurance policies to provide advice and guidance to clients on coverage issues.
  2. Handle complex insurance coverage disputes, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court.
  3. Negotiate settlements and resolve claims on behalf of clients.
  4. Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda on various insurance coverage topics.
  5. Stay abreast of developments in insurance law and advise clients on potential impacts.
  6. Collaborate with other attorneys to develop strategies for litigation and dispute resolution.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, as well as complying with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
  8. Develop and maintain client relationships while ensuring confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  2. Admission to the New York State Bar.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or a related field.
  4. Proven experience in handling insurance coverage disputes and litigation.
  5. Strong legal research and writing skills.
  6. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  7. Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex insurance policies.
  8. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  10. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  11. Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
