Job Details

Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of legal documents related to patents, including patent applications and licensing agreements.
  2. Provide expert legal advice on a variety of patent issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  3. Work closely with our clients to understand their business objectives and provide strategic legal advice to help achieve those objectives.
  4. Conduct comprehensive research on legal issues, case laws, and industry trends to inform decision-making.
  5. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the latest developments in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Software-Implemented Business Methods.
  6. Represent the firm in legal proceedings, including patent disputes and litigation.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop and implement effective legal strategies.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Active member of the State Bar in good standing.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patent Attorney, with a proven track record in patent preparation and prosecution.
  4. Solid understanding of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Software-Implemented Business Methods.
  5. Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  8. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  10. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
