Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Project Engineer with a focus on Extrusion in the Manufacturing industry. This role will be responsible for leading and managing projects in the extrusion department, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The successful candidate will be able to apply their extensive knowledge of project management and chemical engineering to improve our extrusion processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage projects in the extrusion department, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  2. Develop detailed project plans to track progress and use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  3. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  4. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  5. Conduct risk management to minimize project risks and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  6. Apply chemical engineering principles to improve extrusion processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  7. Collaborate with the production team to ensure that all extrusion processes are running efficiently and effectively.
  8. Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet our high-quality standards.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to the extrusion team, as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in project management in the manufacturing industry, specifically in an extrusion setting.
  3. Proven ability to manage all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure.
  4. Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, particularly as they apply to extrusion processes.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams at all levels of the organization.
  7. Proficient in project management software tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  10. PMP certification is a plus.
