Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and manage tax filing deadlines, extensions, and payments to minimize penalties and interest charges.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on clients' tax positions, providing guidance and recommendations accordingly.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all tax-related matters.
  • Understand clients' unique financial situations and goals, providing proactive tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, concerns, and requests, delivering exceptional client service and fostering long-term partnerships.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and feedback to support their professional growth and development.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring equitable workload distribution and fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and recognize and reward outstanding contributions to the team's success.

Strategic Tax Planning:

  • Analyze clients' financial data and tax returns to identify opportunities for tax savings, deductions, and credits.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies tailored to clients' individual and business needs, considering factors such as income, investments, retirement plans, and estate planning.
  • Collaborate with clients' other financial advisors, attorneys, and professionals to coordinate tax planning efforts and achieve integrated financial solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax compliance and consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with a demonstrated ability to apply tax principles to complex client situations.
