Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Associate Attorney with a focus on Municipal Law to join our dynamic legal team. This is an onsite position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of municipal law issues, including land use and zoning. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, be detail-oriented, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position requires a deep understanding of municipal law, land use, zoning, and the ability to provide legal services to our clients with the utmost professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities:

As a Associate Attorney - Municipal Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Providing legal counsel to municipalities on a wide range of issues including land use, zoning, municipal governance, and regulatory compliance.
2. Representing municipalities in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and interpreting municipal ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other legal documents.
4. Advising municipal officials and staff on legal matters and potential legal implications of current and proposed policies.
5. Conducting legal research and analysis on various municipal law issues.
6. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and providing exceptional client service.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys in the firm to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Associate Attorney - Municipal Attorney position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Arizona state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in municipal law, with a focus on land use and zoning or town attorney/assistant town attorney.
4. Exceptional knowledge of municipal law, land use, zoning, and related legal areas.
5. Proven track record of representing municipalities in litigation, administrative hearings, and negotiations.
6. Excellent legal research, analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. High degree of professionalism and ethical standards.
