LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire a Payroll Supervisor for a permanent role in Pleasant Hill, California. As the Payroll Supervisor, you will oversee the payroll function for the company, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This role requires hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. Ideally, you will be responsible for managing payroll operations, resolving payroll issues, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.PLEASE NOTE:

You will perform most of your duties at the client’s office in Pleasant Hill, California. You may have an opportunity to work as many as 2 days per week remotely at the client’s discretion.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and manage the payroll team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end payroll process, including timekeeping, payroll calculation, and distribution.Utilize ADP payroll systems to process payroll for a diverse workforce, including regular and overtime pay, deductions, and benefits.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax withholdings, garnishments, and wage and hour laws.Perform regular audits of payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.Prepare and distribute payroll reports and summaries to management, including payroll expense reports and labor cost analysis.Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in payroll regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and process improvements.Collaborate with HR and finance departments to support organizational initiatives and ensure accurate employee records.DESIRED BACKGROUND & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Extensive experience with ADP payroll systems is required.Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance, including federal and state tax laws.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other payroll-related software.Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.NEXT STEPS
