Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated accounting professional to contribute to our organization's financial operations. You will be responsible for managing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, external audits, and financial reporting. You will also be handling accruals and other accounting responsibilities. This role requires a high level of analytical skills, ability to work independently, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  2. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
  3. Coordinate, complete and oversee the external audit process.
  4. Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts.
  5. Implement and monitor the company's accounting policies and operations.
  6. Handle monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  7. Liaise with tax accountants to ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation.
  8. Collaborate with financial team and other departments to streamline functions and operations, improve workflow, and reduce costs.
  9. Assist with special projects as required, providing necessary financial input and analysis.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
  3. Proficiency in financial reporting, external audits, month-end close, and accruals.
  4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  9. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and balance multiple tasks.
  10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
