Experience in insurance defense is preferred, with the ability to manage complex cases, discovery, take depositions, and interview experts being essential. Superior writing and litigation skills are a must for this role.Job Duties:Drafting, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents, including reports, pleadings, motions, and discovery notices/responses.Taking and defending depositions.Appearing in court for conferences, motions, and hearings.Conducting legal research using Westlaw or similar platforms.Managing complex cases and overseeing discovery processes.Interviewing experts as necessary.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to the Florida State Bar or eligible for admission.1-3 years of experience in insurance defense preferred.Experience with drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.Ability to manage complex cases independently.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications and Skills:Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.Experience in insurance defense litigation is a plus.Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.Excellent writing and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
