Responsibilities:

  1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
  2. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  3. Provide legal advice to clients on issues such as business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  4. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  5. Negotiate settlements in civil disputes, working towards mitigation to avoid lengthy court proceedings.
  6. Handle all IRS related matters, including audits, collections, and appeals.
  7. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  8. Manage and oversee paralegals and legal assistants.
  9. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
Job Details

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong background in litigation, IRS dealings, mitigation, and legal drafting.
  3. Active membership in good standing with a State Bar.
  4. Proven track record of achieving positive results for clients.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
  7. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  9. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  10. Strong work ethic, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
