Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage and oversee all stages of complex litigation cases from inception through final resolution.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to identify potential legal issues and develop effective strategies to address them.
  • Draft, review, and revise a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals, and advocate on their behalf.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, legal articles, and court decisions, and apply this knowledge to current cases.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular case updates and sound legal advice.
  • Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client meetings, to attract new clients and grow the firm's complex litigation practice.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in complex litigation, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential legal issues and develop effective strategies to address them.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a proven ability to negotiate favorable settlements for clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and work effectively as part of a team.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
