JFC-24-00001223Location: Washington, DC, US, 20006Department: Government AcquisitionEmployment Type: Full-TimePosted: September 18, 2024Jefferson Consulting Group is seeking a Contract Specialist to support the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Joining the Jefferson team means stepping into an environment that values collaboration, encourages creative thinking, and celebrates individual strengths.Responsibilities:Review procurement requests to ensure all required documents have been included and fully understand all documents submitted as part of the requests.Work with FMCSA Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, and Program Office personnel in developing sound acquisition plans.Draft pre-solicitation documentation (e.g., synopsis, letter of invitation to submit contract proposal or assistance agreement application).Assist OAM Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, and Program Office Personnel in developing sound technical and cost evaluation plans.In collaboration with OAM Contracting Officer, Contract Specialist, and Program Office Personnel, develop and draft Request for Proposals, Request for Applications, Request for Quotes, and other solicitation documents.Assist in conducting and documenting reviews of cost proposals.Provide advice to program office personnel on how to conduct and document technical and cost evaluation of proposals.Review technical evaluation reports and recommend to the FMCSA Contracting Officer and/or Contract Specialist how to proceed with the contract action.Prepare award documents in "FINAL FORM".Perform all post-award duties.Help ensure all applicable reporting requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.Help ensure compliance with all administrative, safety, and security requirements established by FMCSA and the federal government.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 5 years' contract specialist experience.Knowledge of and experience with most procurement types which include FFP, Cost-Reimbursement, T&M, LH.Experience with ordering supplies and services from GSA Schedules and other IDIQ type contracts.Experience using PRISM, DOT's automated procurement system, preferred.Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.Benefit Overview:Health Benefits; Medical, Dental, Vision.Retirement Plan Match.Competitive Annual Leave Package.Education Reimbursement.Basic and Voluntary Life Insurance.Disability Insurance.Cafeteria Plan.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Domestic and Global Health Insurance.Floating Holidays.Wellness Program.Jefferson Consulting Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
