We are big enough to deliver, small enough to care.POSITION SUMMARYThe Salesforce Administrator works closely with stakeholders on business requirements, drafting training materials, and conducting user acceptance testing across CRM and related projects. The Salesforce Administrator will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle, from project/feature backlog prioritization, requirement engineering, and development oversight through testing, release and support for products serving our institutional end users. Acting as a liaison between business and technology, creative problem solving, impeccable communication and attention to detail are key skills expected in this role. This individual will also be responsible for point and click administration and configuration of key systems. (Salesforce Sales, Service, Mulesoft, and other Commercial applications)ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSCollaborate with business users and managers during the project initiation phase: setting project and feature backlog priorities and defining scope.Develop detailed business & functional requirements, including use cases, user stories and wireframes.Conduct User Acceptance Testing and end user training.Provide point and click administration and configuration of CRM and related Commercial systems.End to end project management of small to mid-sized projects.Provide ongoing consulting and expertise in key areas of focus.Support all software releases through the project life cycle.Manage all business issues and requests for change across applications responsible for.Salesforce Configuration and Management:Administer and configure Salesforce to meet business needs, including customizing objects, fields, workflows, and reports.Manage user setup, profiles, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate access levels.Implement and maintain validation rules, process automation (e.g., workflows, process builder, Flow), and custom applications.Data Management and Integrity:Oversee data quality and integrity by implementing data validation rules, conducting regular data audits, and managing data import/export processes.Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.User Support and Training:Provide ongoing support to Salesforce users, including troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and providing guidance on best practices.Conduct training sessions and create documentation to help users effectively utilize Salesforce features and functionality.Reporting and Analytics:Design and generate custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for sales, marketing, and management teams.Analyze Salesforce data to support business decision-making, identify trends, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).System Integration and Enhancement:Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate Salesforce with other systems and applications (e.g., ERP, marketing automation tools).Stay current with Salesforce updates, new features, and industry best practices to continuously enhance system functionality and user experience.Project Management:Lead or participate in Salesforce-related projects, including system upgrades, new feature implementations, and process improvements.Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop project plans, and ensure successful project delivery.Compliance and Security:Ensure Salesforce configuration and data management practices comply with relevant industry regulations and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive information and maintain system integrity.SKILLS AND ABILITIESExcellent problem solving, documentation and communication skills.Excellent project management and change management skills.An open mindset, open to change, learning and growth.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS4 years of previous business analyst experience developing detailed business & functional requirements, conducting User Acceptance Testing and end user training.Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.Previous experience developing requirements for CRM and other Commercial applications.Previously responsible for point and click administration of mission critical system (ex: ERP, CRM, Marketing, eCommerce, CMS etc.).Previous CRM administration (Salesforce/other) experience preferred.Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.Life sciences and diagnostic products industry experience is preferred.Biolyst Scientific provides equal employment opportunities to all persons and prohibits employment decisions based on race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, disability, political affiliation, protected veteran status, or sexual orientation.
