A law firm is seeking a talented Mid-Level Product Design and User Interface Patent Agent to join their growing team in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patent preparation and prosecution, working closely with inventors and engineers to protect innovative software, AI, and technology-driven solutions. This role requires a strong academic background, extensive law firm experience, and a deep understanding of complex technologies such as artificial intelligence, IoT, and quantum technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for technological advancements.Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and product development teams to evaluate new technologies and identify patentable innovations.Prepare, draft, and prosecute patent applications related to software, AI, IoT, networking, and quantum technologies.Conduct thorough prior art searches to assess the patentability of inventions and advise clients accordingly.Manage and track deadlines, ensuring compliance with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international patent laws.Communicate regularly with clients to discuss patent strategy, timelines, and progress updates.Respond to USPTO office actions, including preparing and filing amendments and arguments.Collaborate with patent attorneys and other team members to provide comprehensive patent portfolio management for clients.Stay informed on the latest developments in patent law and technology to provide expert advice and recommendations to clients.Assist with licensing agreements, due diligence, and other intellectual property-related matters as needed.Mentor junior patent agents and technical staff, providing guidance and support on patent prosecution strategies and processes.Requirements:

2+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience in a law firm or related industry.Strong background in software-related technologies, AI, IoT, networking, or quantum technologies.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to handle multiple projects with strict deadlines.JD and admission to the USPTO are required.High level of academic achievement.Solid understanding of U.S. patent laws, regulations, and processes.Education:

Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.Juris Doctor (JD) required.Certifications:

Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Bar admission is preferred.Skills:

Superb writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Proficiency in patent drafting software and tools.Knowledge of patent portfolio management and IP strategy development.
