Represent clients in legal proceedings, including
court hearings ,
mediations , and
arbitrations .Draft and file legal documents, such as
pleadings ,
demands ,
motions , and
briefs .Conduct
depositions
and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony.Try cases in court, presenting evidence, examining witnesses, and delivering arguments on behalf of clients.Negotiate
settlements
with opposing counsel and other parties to resolve disputes before trial when appropriate.Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on a variety of legal issues, keeping them informed of case progress.Maintain a strong client communication strategy, ensuring clients understand their rights and options.Conduct
legal research
to support case strategy and ensure thorough preparation for litigation.Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure cases are managed effectively and meet filing deadlines.Requirements:
1-6 years of experience
in litigation or related legal practice.Strong
litigation skills , including case management from intake to trial.Excellent written and verbal communication skills , with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.Ability to
negotiate settlements
and resolve disputes efficiently.Spanish language skills
are a plus but not required.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a legal team.Strong
organizational skills
with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD)
degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the
Georgia State Bar
is required.Certifications (Preferred):
Certification or coursework in
trial advocacy
or
litigation
is beneficial but not required.Key Skills:
Expertise in
litigation , including case preparation, trial work, and settlement negotiation.Strong
legal research , writing, and oral advocacy skills.Ability to manage and prioritize a
diverse caseload
while meeting deadlines.Client communication
