Associate Attorney
to join its litigation boutique. The ideal candidate will have
2-5 years of experience
in litigation, with the ability to manage cases independently from start to finish. The firm is looking for a resourceful attorney with strong writing skills and the ability to handle all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.Job Responsibilities:
Manage
litigation cases
from start to finish, including
case intake ,
discovery ,
motion practice ,
negotiations , and
trial preparation .Conduct
legal research
and draft high-quality legal documents such as
pleadings ,
motions ,
briefs , and
settlement agreements .Represent clients in
court hearings ,
mediations ,
depositions , and
arbitrations , advocating effectively for clients’ interests.Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure thorough case preparation and timely filings.Develop and execute
case strategies , working directly with clients to ensure their goals and legal needs are met.Provide
client communication
throughout the litigation process, offering clear legal advice and updates on case progress.Engage in
settlement negotiations
with opposing counsel, ensuring that client interests are protected while exploring all options for resolution.Prepare clients and witnesses for
depositions ,
hearings , and
trials
by reviewing case details and expectations.Handle
discovery
processes, including document requests, depositions, interrogatories, and responses to discovery requests.Requirements:
2-5 years of litigation experience
is preferred, with demonstrated experience managing cases from start to finish.Strong
legal writing
skills, with the ability to draft clear, persuasive, and strategic legal documents.Resourcefulness
and the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.Experience in
courtroom representation , including handling hearings, depositions, and motions.Strong
organizational
and
time management skills , with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent
communication skills , with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to clients and work collaboratively with colleagues.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD)
degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the
Texas State Bar
is required.Certifications (Preferred):
Certification in
trial advocacy
or coursework related to
litigation
is beneficial but not required.Key Skills:
Expertise in
litigation

case management , with experience handling cases from inception through resolution.Strong
research
and
