Job Description:

Operations Business Analyst

We are seeking an Operations Business Analyst with a background in accounting or finance to join our Business Analytics team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform in-depth analysis for key business decisions to identify opportunities to measurably improve performance. This role will work closely with Operations VPs in analyzing the performance of our operating subsidiaries and tracking key metrics and performance indicators, and general business analysis. An ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and possesses strong technical skills with a deep understanding of how data works.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

Support business leaders with in-depth analysis on key business decisions (financial and operational data).Use data analysis to identify financial challenges and opportunities as well as operational strategies to improve performance.Assist in month-end reporting process.Learn, understand, and analyze construction project accounting, work-in-progress schedules, and other industry specific metrics.Create and implement new processes and procedures that are scalable to enable growth in the company.Work with Business Intelligence team to organize complicated data requests into a concise data model.Leverage data models to present dashboards and monthly reports in a clean and concise manner (we are professional storytellers).Manage complex data uploads and mapping for financial reporting accuracy.Communicate clearly and effectively across multiple levels of the business.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements

Minimum

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance/Financial Systems or related discipline.2+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role.2+ years of SQL, Power BI, or other data modeling experience.Basic GAAP Accounting knowledge.Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, sumifs, macros, data modeling etc.).Self-motivated and able to execute in a fast-paced environment.Works independently and is a dynamic, proactive problem solver.Eagerness to learn.Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to review and analyze financial statements.Able to thrive in fast paced, dynamic environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to collaborate with team members.Ability to interface at various levels within the organization.Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Compensation and Benefits
