The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting a GIS Analyst III for the Plant Industries division in the Boise area. Posting will close at 4:59pm on September 27th Summary: To plan, design, conduct, and oversee Geographic Information System (GIS) development and analysis projects; serve as technical lead and/or subject matter expert in GIS technology and applications; perform related work. Work under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Responsibilities and Duties: + + Leads the planning, management, and analysis for projects and ensures objectives are met upon completion. + Coordinates with external partners to define data management needs, including metadata, define system requirements, and develop workflows to meet needs. + Manages the technical design and development aspects of the organization's GIS to ensure the maintenance of programs that satisfy all users. + Drives the development and maintenance of quality control programs for GIS. + Mentors junior analysts and trains users on GIS applications. + Leads and oversees projects and teams. + May supervise.
