Job Description
Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Procurement Coordinator. The Procurement Coordinator will serve as Nevada State University's primary campus liaison to the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Business Center South (BCS) Purchasing Department, representing Nevada State in Purchasing transactions. This position will assist departments with researching, locating, and acquiring goods and services for the Nevada State campus community in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The Procurement Coordinatoris the subject matter expert on the Nevada State campus for Purchasing policies and procedures, as delineated in the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), NSHE Procedures and Guidelines Manual, NSHE Handbook, Nevada State policies and procedures, and public procurement best practices.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of Nevada State's Purchasing including serving as the central point of contact for procurement foundational support across all areas of campus.Partner with Business Center South to lead Nevada State's RFQs, RFPs, IFB, Sole Sources, Purchase Orders, and Construction Solicitations, including preparation of bids, scopes of work, and other formal Purchasing mechanisms.Interpret and apply policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance with all standards and regulations.Develop and update procurement training materials including procedures, forms, etc.Conduct frequent training to campus constituents in a variety of modalities (online, hybrid, in person).Track existing Purchasing contracts, agreements, term and conditions, independent contractor service agreements, or other agreements and proactively notify those with upcoming expirations.Learn and utilize contract tracking software, in coordination with BCS Purchasing.Build and foster relationships with the campus community, BCS colleagues, suppliers, contractors, and others.Serve as the primary specialist for fixed assets including coordination with Accounting Services and Information Technology Services regarding asset registrations.Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Accounting, or a related field.3 years of related professional experience including procurement and contract principles, methods, procedures, and other activities related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service.Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).Please note:

Budgeted salary for this position is 64,118. Nevada State University offers excellent benefits, including 17.50% retirement match, 24 annual leave days, beginning balance of 30 sick leave days, 12 paid holidays, educational benefits, and three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
