The Human Resources Director is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing human resources and staff training and development following the U1 Values. Functions as a member of the management team, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives of the Credit Union and serves as a resource in all aspects of human resources. Provides consultation and partnership with credit union leadership to promote positive employee relations, drive cultural values, and assist in meeting goals and objectives through the use of data to build accountability and continuously improve. Ensures that human resource and training activities are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies and governmental regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related major, required.

Current SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification or the ability to acquire SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification within 9 months, required.

Experience Required:

5 years of progressive experience in human resource positions.

3+ years of experience as a Human Resources Manager.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Thorough knowledge of human resource procedures, policies, federal/state laws and regulations, corporate policy, and employee benefit programs.

Understanding of human resource department metrics and analytics, compensation practices, affirmative action plans, and adult training methods.

Ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations.

Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Knowledge of credit union operations, customer service, and computer applications.
