Summary:
The Core Business Initiatives (CBI) Intern, R&D team member plays an integral role, working with Research and Development Scientists and Engineers, in the integration of new technologies, methods and/or processes. The successful candidate will be capable of utilizing the incumbent's materials knowledge to (any or all the following): conduct material and product testing, basic analysis of test data and technology development initiatives, support product design history documentation completion, or suggest innovative ways to meet the needs of their R&D team. Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains effective and accurate recordsAssumes project leadership roles as neededMeets on-going training requirements related to such things as procedures and equipment use and maintenanceAddresses & identifies inefficiencies and roadblocksSuggests alternative ways to meet their work needsOther duties as assignedRequirements:
Participation in a Co-operative Education program requires enrollment in an accredited program of study leading to a Baccalaureate in a data analytics, engineering, or science discipline.2 year Associates Degree or Trade Certification (or equivalent experience)4 yrs of related experienceDemonstrates working knowledge of technologies and processes used by the technical functionImplements portions of scientific investigation, methodology, and procedures used by the technical functionStrong communication skills, both orally and technical writing skillsDemonstrates a functional understanding of experimental designIdentifies servicing requirements and failure modes of equipmentEffectively uses information technology systems to generate relevant output and communicate resultsIdentifies the salient issues in a problemPossesses rote problem solving ability with some analytic ability and understanding of basic statisticsGood working knowledge of medical device quality & regulatory systems and medical device directives.Knowledge of handling chemicals and hazardous materials.
