Controller

to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to spearhead that growth by driving efficiency, accuracy and strategic financial management.

As the

Controller , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will eventually build and lead a team, implementing best practices and optimizing financial processes to support our client's company's growth trajectory.

Controller Responsibilities:Develop and implement policies and procedures to establish an efficient and effective in-house accounting functionOversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger functionsManage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reportingPrepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights to senior management to support decision-makingLead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate financial projectionsEnsure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, including tax filings and auditsImplement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial riskManage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors and other financial service providersSupervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

Controller Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA certification preferred7+ years of progressive accounting experiencePrior experience in a Private Equity-backed environment preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detailProven leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and develop a teamEffective communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
