Assistant Controller

Position:

As an Assistant Controller, you will play a vital role in maintaining control over accounting systems and processes. Your expertise will help achieve accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and robust internal controls. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial strategy and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and enhance the monthly, semi-annual, and annual accounting close processes.

Prepare and review balance sheet reports, financial statements, and inventory reconciliations.

Support the creation of accurate and timely financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Strengthen banking relationships and manage cash flow and treasury functions.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and facilitate smooth annual external audits.

Role Competencies:

Proficient in GAAP with a solid understanding of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet management.

Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Experienced in cost accounting, inventory management, and cash management processes.

Knowledgeable in ERP systems with a knack for financial process improvements.

Essential Functions:

Refine and streamline the month-end close process for efficiency and accuracy.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing detailed documentation and insights.

Coordinate and manage balance sheet reviews and financial reporting packages.

Oversee account reconciliations and daily operations of the accounting system.

Analyze financial statements, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.

Drive EBIT-enhancing activities and contribute to maximizing shareholder return.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

Master's degree in Accounting and CPA certification are preferred.

Experience:

3-5 years in Public Accounting or 5 years in accounting with expertise in consolidation and Microsoft Office.

Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus, but not essential.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train team members on accounting systems and functions.
