A privately held, multi-state, $60M construction equipment and services company with headquarters in Southeast Atlanta and plans to grow and expand into other markets is looking for a
"hands-on" Assistant Controller with CPA
(or Controller, depending on experience) to maintain and manage the accounting function, month-end close and other related activities including overseeing financial statements, cash flows, invoices, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits, budgets and tax reporting. This
in-office
position will work closely with and report to the CFO and manage three functional direct reports (A/R, Purchasing & Billing).
Compensation and benefits includes
Base salary + up to 15% discretionary bonus with 100% of employee's benefits paid by company.
Position Responsibilities - Representative Listing:Maintain close responsibility based on master close schedule and detail.Manage monthly and quarterly sales tax reporting.Prepare financial statements.Manage and prepare cash reconciliations.Manage master balance sheet reconciliation.Loan amortization management.Post and approval journal entries.Lead annual external audit.Supervise and manage (3) direct reports.Assist with preparation of loan covenants.Calculate and report monthly sales and use tax.Maintain prepaid schedules and book monthly amortization during close.Prepare annual 1099 reporting.Monitor and approve daily Truist ACH fraud management.Work on Ad-hoc request from the CFO.Candidate Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
B.S., Business Administration (or equivalent), with an Accounting, Finance, or business concentration from an accredited institution. (required)CPA (required)3+ years of experience in a proven, representative accounting role. (required)Other Candidate Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong Excel (required) and PowerPoint skills (desired).Strong modeling (desired) and financial analysis skills (required) with an understanding of financial reporting (required).Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL etc.), programming and data querying tools (desired).Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Crystal reporting (desired).
