About itrek

itrek launched in 2011 with a mission to empower leaders to engage their networks in meaningful Israel experiences, fostering an understanding and appreciation of Israel's unique culture, diversity, richness and complex reality. More than 25,000 graduate students representing 130 nationalities from schools in the U.S., Canada and Europe have traveled to Israel through itrek. Over the last two years, itrek has expanded beyond graduate school students by piloting Launchpad, a program that connects with mission aligned leaders and organizations to create Israel Treks for their influential peers and members. In July 2024, Schusterman Family Philanthropies REALITY journeys was brought under itrek. REALITY will continue to bring leaders from diverse backgrounds and sectors on formative learning journeys to Israel.

Position Overview

The itrek Network is the alumni network of 25,000 itrek Leaders and participants, students and graduates from the top MBA, law, policy and STEM graduate programs and leadership programs in the world. The Network provides ongoing opportunities for these high-achieving and highly aspirational alumni to continue learning about and engaging with Israel through in-person and virtual events, to reunite with their Israel Trek friends, and build on their leadership.

Reporting to the itrek Network Director and working closely with the itrek Network Manager, the Associate Director will serve as a vital team member overseeing the programmatic calendar, including quarterly social and educational events and monthly networking initiatives. The Associate Director will improve alumni communication channels, grow tracking systems to inform strategy, and build relationships with alumni around the world to identify potential leadership opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

Project Management - 50%Manage the design, recruitment, and facilitation of itrek Network programs and offerings (educational , social, and professional development)Increase engagement on Alumni communication channels (LinkedIn, Whatsapp, and other platforms)Track and analyze engagement data to inform future strategiesAccount Management - 30%

Build and strengthen connections with a portfolio of alumni, engaging them in leadership opportunitiesCollaborate with the Development team on fundraising from Alumni during the annual campaignLead committee meetings and feedback sessions with Alumni to build or improve programsProgramming - 20%

Create tools to support Alumni in leading local programsCurate content to provide educational resources for alumniCollaborate with the Network and Programming teams to execute alumni programming at itrek's annual conferenceSkills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required5 years of related experience in community engagement, program development or marketingStrong creative, interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent writing abilitiesExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects involving diverse stakeholdersData-driven decision makerComfortable with learning new technologies and implementing new systems; Salesforce experience a plusPassion for itrek's missionAbility to work in a team environment while pursuing individual assignmentsFlexible and collaborative spiritBenefits

Salary range $84,000 - $92,000; commensurate with experience

itrek is a hybrid work environment with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
