Role:
The Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) will champion the investment capabilities for several of the Amundi US fixed income teams internally to distribution partners, and externally to advisors, clients, consultants and prospects.In doing so, the successful candidate will leverage deep fixed income investment expertise, knowledge of the retail and institutional marketplace, and relationship building skills to establish credibility and trust with the fixed income investment and sales teams.An entrepreneurial problem solver, the CPM will collaborate with marketing and distribution to increase the sales productivity on Amundi US fixed income investment capabilities.With a strong attention to detail, an acute awareness of how to establish and manage relationships effectively, a team first approach, and the ability to stand in as a proxy for portfolio managers, the successful candidate will also ensure that messaging in commentaries, RFPs, factsheets, presentations, and white papers (which the candidate will write) is clear, compelling, consistent and aligned with the approach and views of the fixed income portfolio management team.
This role is hybrid (3 days per week in office) from Boston, MA or Durham, NC.
Key Responsibilities:Educate institutional and retail clients on our economic and investment outlook, including sector specific information when neededPartner with the investment and sales teams to increase net salesPersuasively present Amundi US's fixed income views and capabilities to clients, consultants, and prospects.Conduct update calls and meeting with clients that include a market outlook, and performance and positioning updateRespond quickly and knowledgeably to fixed income related questions internally and externallyIn partnership with others, produce excellent written fixed income materials that succinctly and clearly convey messaging on the economy, fixed income markets, and Amundi US fixed income strategies.Analyze the competitive landscape, identify differentiating features of the Amundi US approach, and embed those differences in written materialsWork with portfolio managers to customize fixed income solutions as needed for separate accounts, and to launch additional fixed income strategiesContribute to the success of the entire CPM team as a whole by sharing best practices, and opportunities to launch new strategies based on interactions with sales team, clients, and prospectsRequirements:
Series 7 and 63 required within 3 months of joiningPrefer at least 8 + years of experience in a client portfolio management role or other investment related role such as a portfolio manager, credit analyst, or strategist.Open to other backgrounds that require similar knowledge and skillsDeep fixed income knowledge and expertiseStrong understanding of both the retail and institutional markets, including the sales process for eachAdept at building highly effective working relationships with a variety of personalities; proactive in communicating with investment research, portfolio management, and sales; effective at consultative sellingDynamic presenter, able to establish immediate credibility and keep the attention of investment audiencesExceptional at identifying key messaging points from a sea of investment information and conveying them to clients and prospectsConcise, persuasive, grammatically correct writer with a strong attention to detailEntrepreneurial mindsetFlexible, team contributor, willing to help others as neededAbility to manage and prioritize a significant workloadSkilled at PowerPoint, and WordFluency with Factset, eVestment, and Morningstar a plusCFA preferred
