Lamps Plus is looking for a
Junior Accountant
to join our team! Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the
Junior Accountant
maintains the company's financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail and ensures compliance with legal and company regulations. You will be the lead on responding to chargebacks, including gathering all pertinent data and support documentation to present a clear and concise case for a favorable outcome.
Primary Responsibilities:
Researches cardholder disputes and provides necessary supporting documentation to remedy chargebacksPrepares data sheet for all fixed assets for input into the subledger. Maintains a schedule of capitalized assets with supporting documents (i.e., copies of invoices, checks, contracts, etc.)Assists in the monthly preparation of schedules of reconciliation for fixed assets, capital expenditures, prepaids and overhead costsReconciles bank accounts by gathering and balancing informationResponsible for maintaining the daily reconciliation of credit card deposits, including researching variances as neededAssists with the reconciliation of other general ledger accounts as neededAssist with the annual audit by providing documents and schedules as requestedPerforms other ad hoc analyses as neededQualification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting (or related field)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong sense of urgency, time-management skills and attention to detailAbility to learn quickly and professional attitude
