We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Portfolio Manager to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of commercial lending, portfolio management, and credit analysis, combined with strong leadership and relationship management skills. This role is pivotal in managing and monitoring our commercial loan portfolio, ensuring compliance with credit policies, and driving client satisfaction.

Portfolio Management

Perform activities and conduct due diligence to manage and monitor commercial relationshipsCollect financial information and manage annual review/renewals on existing creditsMonitor credits, including interim financial statement review and borrowing base validationsUnderwrite credit applications, evaluate collateral positions, and monitor trendsModify terms and restructure loans as necessary to ensure adherence to documentation and monitoring requirementsIdentify and resolve credit weaknesses that affect the current or future likelihood of repaymentEnsure appropriate pricing for credit risk incurred and review various system reports and evaluation tools for credit deterioration trends and potential sales opportunitiesPerform customer segmentation and business trend analysis, and develop business presentations for management evaluationAnalyze customer behavior to aid in product and service decision-making, including pricing and new product developmentRelationship Management

Maintain and manage direct communication with client segments to ensure high levels of client satisfactionRespond to client requests, seek resolution, and escalate issues as neededDemonstrate a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and servicesAssist in new client acquisition through the underwriting and approval processIdentify potential new business opportunities and provide appropriate solutions, either directly to the client or through collaboration with Relationship ManagersMaintain strong working relationships with other bank lines of businessSupport ongoing business relationships with an emphasis on high standards of personal serviceProvide broad, multi-product banking solutions to Relationship ManagersLeadership

Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all associatesBuild trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the client, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate high integrityMaintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core valuesProactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support departmentsAdhere to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of the bank's compliance with regulatory requirementsCommunicate with management and associates to integrate goals and activitiesServe as a resource for associates assisting business clientsSupport special projects as neededUnderwriting

Coordinate with Credit Analysis team to complete financial analysisIdentify all risks in transactions, including but not limited to cash flow leverage, collateral adequacy, guarantor support, industry considerations, and regulatory complianceMake recommendations on pricing to ensure adequate return on shareholder equityFacilitate and participate in discussions with lenders and decision-makers to maintain sound credit standards while enabling reasonable loan growthOther duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline, or a combination of education and industry experience that meets the job requirements.Three plus years of banking experience in a growth-oriented commercial or corporate lending environment, with experience in portfolio management and/or underwriting.Thorough knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and terminology.Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software.
