Shermco Industries is seeking a FP&A Operational Business Partner (Manager)

FP&A Operational Business Partner (Manager)The FP&A Operational Business Partner at Shermco will be responsible for providing financial support to a Region, including the Region Vice President and Branch Managers. Core FP&A tasks will include providing insights and analysis into weekly outlooks, monthly forecasts and annual budgets. Key partnership areas will include yield management, volume growth, labor productivity and managing opportunities and risks. This role will report into our VP of Finance and will be critical to ensuring regional plans are achieved.

ResponsibilitiesThe FP&A Operational Business Partner will be responsible for leading all aspects of financial planning and analysis for a RegionDeliver insightful weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc business profitability analysis, highlighting risks and opportunitiesPartner with Region Vice President and Branch Managers to drive value creation through core financial initiativesImprove and sustain consistency in forecasting capabilities, building a forward looking and action-oriented process with bias towards revenue growth and margin expansionAnalyze and interpret financial results, investigate variances and provide recommendations on corrective actions to resolveReview unbilled revenue and backlog for proper revenue recognition with focus on timely completionDrive working capital improvements through timely collection of A/R and thorough review of all capital expendituresWork collaboratively with peers and partners in Finance, Sales, Operations, Business Development, HR and IT to improve financial acumen and drive business results through effective use of FP&A insightsSupport regular operating review process by assisting in development of report out on results across the RegionProvide actionable insights to optimize operational efficiency and enhance profitabilityQualifications:

Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a value creation mindset8+ years of progressive financial management with experience partnering with operations to drive profitable growthStrong collaboration skills across all levels of the organization, demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligenceExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholdersInvolved with budget and forecasting process in a high growth company with a distributed branch networkAbility to manage complex projects and build processes to drive results & productivitySolid understanding of key investment metrics (IRR, ROI, etc.)Experience with Power BI, Access, relational database, and/or TableauFirsthand experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital Space or high growth companyExperience in Microsoft SQL database, including the development and maintenance of written queries that support financial reporting toolsGeneral knowledge of GAAP accounting principlesUnderstanding of project accounting, specifically fixed fee and time & materials and steps for proper governance of revenue recognitionBachelor's degree in finance or accounting, MBA or MACC preferred
