Social Media Manager & Content Creator

Based in our Culver City office, this new team of passionate marketers will engage a multi-generational audience and existing “Squish Squad” fan base while executing out-of-the-box campaigns that drive brand growth and reach new audiences. As the always-on voice of Squishmallows, the social media team will be responsible for strategically and creatively telling the brand story through original and influencer created content, community management and engagement, and paid / organic strategies.The Social Media Content Manager, reporting into the Senior Manager, social media requires someone with ample social experience and a consistent track record of creating and delivering innovative, successful and elevated social campaigns. This person is a strategic and creative leader that will be integral in bringing engaging, authentic content to their assigned brands across all social platforms.What You Will Do:Drive community engagement and growth, continuing to grow our #SquishSquad, always pushing the boundaries in developing owned, innovative social campaigns that spark conversation and build brand love.Drive creative ideation and execution of high-quality creative, developing out of the box content. You’ll own the creative pipeline, submitting all requests to the design team, managing communication and routing through the appropriate channels for stakeholder review and approval.Create briefs for external creative agencies, partners and influencers when needed.Stay up to date on all platform changes, trends and best practices and how they impact social content and creative. Work quickly to ideate and execute creative.Create and capture engaging social content across various modes, including mobile, and able to edit via native platform tools.Travel to attend events, visit retail stores and more with an eye for capturing relatable, trending moments, able to edit and post in real time.Ensure the content in the creative pipeline and on the editorial calendar aligns with internal business objectives, working closely with community managers to ensure clarity across the social and marketing team.Work closely with the Senior Strategist to understand what content is resonating with our audience and innovate accordingly.Perform other duties as assigned.What We Look For:Bachelor's degree in marketing or other related field preferred or commensurate combination of experience and education.5+ years of experience in social media content creation.Experience in the toy/entertainment/or consumer packaged goods space.Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media and influencer marketing campaigns.Strong understanding of social media platforms, tools, trends, and best practices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively across different teams, departments, and external partners.A highly creative individual with a passion for brand building and an eye for design. This person must be able to provide guidance and feedback to take social content and creative to the next level.Highly organized with extreme attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure and time-sensitive environment. Base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, location. Eligibility for annual performance incentive may apply.
