Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed****High risk unit, must be willing to float between L/D and Mother/Baby. Must be able to circulate c-sections and feel comfortable in PPUnit FBC - OB / L&D / PP (LDRP)# L&D Beds 10# OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections? 2# Triage beds 3 OB-ED and 3 antepartum testing used for OB ED overflow# Postpartum beds 12# Births per day? Month? Year? 100-150 births a monthDo you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? Ratios 1:3-4 couplets, LD anywhere from 1:1 to 1:2 , 1:1-3 antepartumsRequired Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, & AWHONN Advanced EFM STABLE preferred."Common diagnoses/Types of patients preterm labor/bleeding/inductions/cesarean sections/hypertensionExperience or 'Must have' skills Must be able to float to MB and be able to circulate c-sections. All RNs must be able to circulate C/SAre RNs required to titrate drips? YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips PitocinCharge Nurse/House Supervisor? Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? OB surgical techsOB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? OB hospitalist 24/7 - Neo on call 24/7 and rounds daily. Anesthesia in house 24/7.RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) No ventsAre there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips on moms in PACU onlyEFM System: GE Corometric monitors - Fetalink surveillanceShifts & Scheduling:12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. EOW and rotate with staff on holidaysFloating Requirements? All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen. No in house floating.Scrubs: Provided- Baby Catcher is also known as the NRP role. This is sometimes filled by NICU staff and sometimes by L&D. Depends on who has the staff available to do it. But it is an assignment for the entire shift.United Staffing Solutions Job ID #772432.
