Overview
Aircraft Engine Mechanic , where you will learn to perform comprehensive
overhauls on Honeywell turbofan engines.
This includes disassembly, inspection, identifying and correcting discrepancies, engine builds, and supporting engine performance testing. StandardAero Augusta is a Business Aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul)
facility, specialized to support an extensive range of aircraft models, including renowned brands such as
Falcon, Hawker, Challenger, Gulfstream, and Embraer.
With a significant
80,500 sq ft expansion opening in August 2025, we’re doubling our footprint
at AGS. Our facility focuses on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side, while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on
Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs (36-100, 36-150),
and performs diagnostics in our
state-of-the-art Test Cells. What to expect in this role: Perform turbofan overhauls, including disassembly, inspection, and reassembly in MRO test cell environment. Inspect engine parts upon removal, taking measurements to match upon re-assembly utilizing calipers, borescopes, and micrometers. Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies. Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner. Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives. Read and interpret maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams. Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License -
Required at time of hire. Technical Training:
Prior Aviation Training (Military, Aeronautical Academy, Technical School, and/or an Aviation Associate’s Degree). Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience servicing, inspecting, or overhauling turbofan engines. Prior experience working in a mechanical capacity such as an automotive, assembly, or industrial technician. Experience with Honeywell TFE 731 and/or HTF7000 engines and/or APUs.
