We are seeking a detail-oriented
AP/AR Accountant
with strong experience handling foreign currency transactions to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions while ensuring accuracy in multi-currency accounting processes. This role requires a strong understanding of international transactions, exchange rate fluctuations, and cross-border payment processing.
Key Responsibilities for AP/AR Accountant:
Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in multiple currencies.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reimbursements, and customer payments.
Reconcile AP/AR accounts and resolve discrepancies related to foreign currency payments.
Monitor and manage foreign exchange fluctuations and their impact on financial transactions.
Maintain compliance with local and international financial regulations and company policies.
Prepare and analyze aging reports for both payables and receivables.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
AP/AR Accountant will work closely with vendors, customers, and financial institutions to address payment issues and discrepancies.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations regarding AP/AR transactions.
Qualifications of AP/AR Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in AP/AR accounting, with a strong focus on foreign currency transactions.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of exchange rate principles, multi-currency bank reconciliations, and international payment processing.
Experience working with international vendors and customers is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications for AP/AR Accountant:
Experience in a global or multinational company.
Familiarity with IFRS and GAAP accounting standards related to foreign currency transactions.
Knowledge of tax implications related to foreign transactions.
