Are you an experienced leader with a passion for warehouse operations and team development? We are looking for a Warehouse Manager (DC Dept Leader) to oversee a value stream or shift in our distribution center. In this role, you will lead multiple front-line supervisors, drive operational efficiency, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
Operations Leadership:
- Set strategic goals for your shift/value stream and ensure alignment across your team.
- Oversee safety, quality, productivity, and lean initiatives to meet or exceed company goals.
- Manage departmental budgets, including labor, packaging, and maintenance costs.
- Develop reports on employee productivity, quality, and safety performance.
- Drive process improvements and lead Lean initiatives, including a strong 6S culture.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the warehouse management system.
- Directly lead, mentor, and develop your supervisory team and support their leadership of front-line associates (~60 employees).
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and career development programs.
- Oversee staffing levels, hiring, and workforce planning in partnership with HR.
- Lead employee engagement efforts, provide ongoing coaching, and drive a high-performance culture.
- Act as a liaison between employees and senior management, ensuring clear and effective communication.
What We’re Looking For:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field). Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse or operations management.
- Proven ability to develop leaders and build high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of distribution, logistics, and fulfillment operations.
- Experience in budget management, change management, and continuous improvement.
Skills:
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
