GNR has been retained by a privately owned, 30+ year-old organization in need of an experienced
PROCUREMENT MANAGER
for a Connecticut division that manufactures products for
COMMERCIAL & MILITARY / DEFENSE
customers! This “
high visibility
” position reports directly to the Corp Director of Supply Chain and you will lead and mentor a small team. REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
We’re looking for an ambitious individual
experienced with
procurement needs for manufactured products
~ electronics: power cabling and wiring, relays, box assembly etc… Leadership & mentoring of a small Procurement / Buyer team You will be responsible for all Supplier Sourcing requirements : identify and secure new suppliers & determine Make vs Buy product decisions, negotiate contracts, improve lead time & delivery, manage inventory. Understanding of critical
regulatory compliance requirements 10-15% travel to Supplier sites Experience managing a spend of approx. $20M Influence change to reduce cost factors & risk mitigation, process improvements and implement best practices & policies. OFFERING:
