Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range ($130,000 - $160,000 ) for this role is determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive market value and offers opportunities for growth. Some roles may include commission and/or bonus earnings based on the compensation plan.
Position Overview

You'll represent Liberty Mutual and our policyholders in moderately complex civil litigation involving claims for damages or personal injuries.

- Experienced litigation attorney: Managing the legal process from investigation to trial, including depositions, court proceedings, and negotiations.
- Strategic partner: Developing legal strategies and sharing findings with claims and insured clients.
- People person: Building relationships with claims representatives and clients, and conducting training sessions.
- Effective communicator: Providing clear legal opinions and drafting legal documents.
- Collaborative mentor: Guiding junior attorneys and collaborating with the Home Office Legal team.
This role is primarily remote, with required in-person appearances as needed.
Qualifications
Experience
- Membership in the California State Bar
- Preferred: Licenses to practice before boards or federal courts
- At least five years of experience in discovery, depositions, trials, etc.
- Experience representing insurance companies

- Experience in Construction Defect (preferred)
- Familiarity with legal developments and related fields
