Founded in 1985 on the heels of local steel mill closings, Metropolitan Southeast Chicago is part of Metropolitan Family Services, which has been empowering Chicago-area families to reach their greatest potential and positively impact their communities since 1857. About the Parent Ambassador Role:
The role of the Parent Ambassador is to ensure parent representation within our AOK Network as part of the birth to five family community to help advocate for children and families in the Southeast Chicago area. Responsibilities: Attend 50% (minimum) of Network meetings monthly (in person preferred) Attend all check-ins with supervisor (twice monthly: 1:1 and group) Share all events and materials posted by either Southeast Chicago AOK or MFS on social media Attend 50% (minimum) of AOK sponsored events Complete and submit all requested/required documentation associated with this role, including forms such as the Activity/Effort Tracking Form Participate in/complete all training required by AOK and MFS to serve in this role Requirements: Must currently be pregnant or have children in the 0-8 range Must have the ability to travel to events and meetings Must be available for Network meetings monthly (in person preferred) Must be available for Workgroup meetings quarterly (in person or virtual) Must be available for check-ins twice monthly with supervisor (1:1 and group) Must live in Southeast Chicago Must complete and satisfactorily pass a comprehensive background check Compensation:
