Pineapple Hill at Kapalua is a private, beautiful, gated community with approximately 120 homes located in West Maui. We are looking for a full time, salaried Home Owners Association (HOA) Resident Manager who will work directly with our Board of Directors and Owners. Total target compensation is $90,000, with a $75,000 base salary and a $15,000 performance bonus.
The successful candidate needs to be a demonstrated leader with the ability to provide outstanding customer service and interact effectively with our Owners. Strong management, communication, organization, problem solving, leadership, vendor management, and technology/computer skills are required.
If you are an accomplished HOA professional with impeccable references and high business ethics who has lived on Maui at least five years and are coachable with a willingness to learn and grow, then you should apply for this position.
The Resident Manager is required to live on property in an HOA provided house. The one-story house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, lanai, washer/dryer, and a two-car garage. Utilities are included. The HOA office is in a separate building located next door.
This position will require you to work in the office or on property Monday-Friday during normal business hours and will include occasional night time or weekend work.
Qualifications:
- At least ten years’ experience managing HOAs
- At least five years’ experience managing customer A/R and vendor A/P
- At least five years’ experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
- At least five years’ experience managing vendors and contractors
- At least five years’ experience with complex project management
- Knowledge of typical governing documents such as CC&Rs and HOA Bylaws
- Experience working collaboratively with a Board of Directors
- Experience managing Design Review Committee processes
- Knowledgeable and experienced in Hawaii landscaping
- Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with computer applications and databases
