The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time.DescriptionThe Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice is a multi-faceted agency that serves juveniles of the Commonwealth. While striving to hold youth accountable for their actions, the Department creates opportunities for sentenced, committed, probated, or detained youth to develop social and career skills that will equip them for re-entry into their communities as productive and responsible citizens.

This is a highly responsible position in the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. The employee is expected to perform all duties to the best of their ability, act in a responsible manner at all times, demonstrate leadership qualities, and treat all staff, youth, and persons with respect.

This is a demanding position that requires maturity, reliability, and self-discipline. Career growth and advancement are encouraged through training and mentoring opportunities.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Provides professional support to the division director in developing, implementing and maintaining various complex programs, projects or activities.Compiles and researches complex information as needed for reports/communications.Drafts correspondence on hearing reports on revocations for Director review.Maintains community forms and initiates various complex actions for supervisor’s review and direction.Maintains an in-depth working knowledge of departmental rules, regulations and policies.Researches a variety of complex situations in order to provide technical assistance and advice when necessary.Maintains Courtnet licenses and troubleshoots password issues.Ensures that all policy and other applicable information is managed and distributed to appropriate staff in a timely manner.Submits monthly reports.Enters staff training hours.Reviews and submits employee travel vouchers.Regularly updates Community Services Directory and inventory listings.Assists supervisor in providing, reviewing and processing documents necessary for the employee evaluation system during the required time frames.Serves as back-up timekeeper.Serves as EEOC representative for the region.Orders supplies for the Division Office complying with rules of procurement card.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:

Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:

Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
