The successful candidate will be able to influence business decisions and strategy through deep dive analyses and thorough understanding of business functional areas. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of the business via a rotational assignment across Finance, Pricing, Marketing, and other departments.Job Responsibilities:Translate business-related questions into data questionsApply statistical knowledge and judgment to business challenges and questionsGenerate project ideas to address areas of needMentor and train junior analystsFind and extract relevant data to perform analysis and build reportsTranslate data into words to convey findings in informative mannerCommunicate and collaborate with business stakeholders to answer business questionsOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Is within commuting distance of Richmond, VABachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, or similar equivalentAdvanced competencies in Office products including Microsoft Excel and PowerPointWorking knowledge of SQL or a similar language and data visualizationHigh level of attention to detail and quality outputExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMotivated and enthusiasticAbility to learn new concepts quickly and effectivelyPuzzle solver: has natural curiosity, apt at pattern recognition, executes creative solutionsPreferred Qualifications:1-3 years of professional analytical experienceWorking knowledge of Python, R, Power BI, Snowflake, Jira, GitHub or equivalentDemonstrated application of statistical processes and techniques such as experimental design, correlations, regressions, hypothesis testingIn-Office Requirements:Employee will be expected to be able to attend work in-office at our Richmond, VA office at least one day per month for collaboration, training, and team-building.
