Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fine dining restaurant, ensuring that all staff members are working efficiently and effectively to provide exceptional service to our guests. Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise a team of kitchen staff during assigned shifts.

Ensure that all staff members are aware of their duties and are performing them to the highest standard.

Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet our high culinary standards.

Monitor the restaurant's inventory levels and manage the ordering process to minimize waste and optimize profitability.

Maintain a clean and organized dining environment, including the kitchen, dining area, and outdoor spaces.

Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.

Assist with scheduling and training new staff members.

Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and labor costs.

Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and manage cash handling and deposits.

Participate in menu planning and food service management to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales.

Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and drive revenue growth.

Collaborate with the Assistant Manager to achieve restaurant goals and objectives.

Demonstrate a strong knowledge of coffee and other beverage services, including preparation and presentation.

Requirements:

Proven leadership and supervisory experience, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.

Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation, with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff members at all levels.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with POS systems and cash handling.

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field is preferred.

Certification in food service management or a related field is an asset.
