State-Operated Living Alternatives (SOLA)

program, part of the

Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) , you will have the opportunity to directly impact the quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. As a member of our dynamic team, you will provide essential care, support, and guidance to help our clients lead fulfilling lives. If you are compassionate, proactive, and eager to make a positive change in your community, we want to hear from you!Some of what you'll do:Coach, teach, and mentor individuals with intellectual disabilities.Assist and train clients in all areas of daily living skills.Implement Individual Support Plans, including programs, plans, and services.Transport and accompany clients to appointments and community activities.Build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients.Ensure a safe and clean living environment for residents.Review, collect, and document participant information; report any vital or pertinent details related to home management.Use an electronic data system to maintain client records and generate reports.Additional information:This position can be filled at the Attendant Counselor 2 level, or as an in-training opportunity to develop the necessary skills within this specialized field. Upon successful completion of a 6-12 month in-training plan, you will advance to the Attendant Counselor 2 level, with a corresponding increase in wages.Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.Work Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PMTo Start On Your New Career, We Ask That You Have:Experience:A high school diploma/GED and one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities in mental health facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or residential settings.If you lack one year of experience, we can hire you in a paid training position:Attendant Counselor 2 In-Training ($21.26 - $25.84)A high school diploma or GED.In this position, you get paid while gaining the experience and knowledge you need to qualify for the Attendant Counselor 2 position.NOTE:
