The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Coordinate and oversee implementation of recreational/leisure and day programs utilizing both on and off-campus (community) resourcesDevelop individualized plans of care that meet the needs, interests, preferences, and abilities of each personCoordinate closely with AC Managers and respective IDT’s when developing opportunities, establishing schedules, and implementing various activities that may involve driving on both preplanned and spontaneous tripsDevelop treatment plans that are goal-oriented and directed towards rehabilitation and modification of specific physical, emotional, mental, and/or social behaviorCreate and implement a recreation activity schedule that includes individualized therapeutic recreation programming, diversion activities, and community integration programsParticipate in special events on campus such as concerts, parades, or barbequesWhat we’re looking for:Experience in planning, organizing, and leading recreation programsAbility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those you supportAbility to develop positive, productive, and respectful working relationships with team members and clientsAbility to effectively instruct other staff membersExperience utilizing electronic health recordsAn understanding of the importance of person-centered careWho should apply?A Bachelor's degree involving major study in one of the following:Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Music, Drama, Physical Education, or a related fieldOROne (1) year of experience as a Recreation & Athletics Specialist 2Please note: Recreational therapy includes providing individualized assessments and treatment which are goal-oriented and directed towards rehabilitation and modification of specific physical, emotional, mental, or social behaviors.Questions?
