OVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Welder I to use Manual Welding skills to manufacture weldments to defined specifications, workmanship standards and production schedule.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding jobsArrange parts for welding and staging processesPerform quality inspection/checks per quality documentation/control plan (including documentation of results)Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the LeadMaintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures Uphold site efficiency standardsLearn and demonstrate continuous improvement for Safety and Quality standards and procedures Perform other duties as requested by the LeadAssist in other work areas as assigned RequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPass AWS certifications for MIG welding steel and aluminumPossess a basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances and quality measuring equipmentRead and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondenceAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret prints and work ordersAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions EDUCATIONHigh School DiplomaLOCATIONOnsiteSCHEDULEM-FWORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
