The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of Family Studies and Human Development to begin in Fall 2024. An earned doctorate from an accredited university in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Family Studies, Family Life Education, or Human Development is required. ABD candidates from accredited programs will be considered, provided all degree requirements are completed by August 2024. Applicants must also be currently licensed as a Counselor in California or their home state, or be eligible for licensure in California (LMFT; LCSW; LPCC).Qualifications

Doctorate from an accredited university in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Family Studies, Family Life Education, Human Development, or a closely related field is required.ABD candidates from accredited programs will be considered, provided all degree requirements are completed by August 2024. Applicants must also be currently licensed as a Counselor in California or their home state, or be eligible for licensure in California (LMFT; LCSW; LPCC).Demonstrated ability to teach college-level courses to a diverse student population.Proven track record or demonstrated potential as a researcher conducting scholarly and/or applied research.Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community and to integrate diversity issues into the curriculum.Job Overview
