The Snow College Mathematics Department is seeking dynamic applicants for the position of Assistant Professor/Instructor of Mathematics on its Richfield campus. This position is for one academic year (Spring 2025 and Fall 2025). At the conclusion of the one-year contract, the position will be reevaluated with the possibility of becoming a permanent, tenure-track position.Minimum Qualifications:
Masters or higher degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or closely related discipline.Successful teaching experience. Preference given to those with experience at the post-secondary level.Ability to instruct students who come from a variety of educational backgrounds.Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English - both orally and in written form.Familiarity with and commitment to the mission and goals of Snow College in the Utah System of Higher Education.Preference will be given to those who instruct using research-based high impact practices.Responsibilities:
Teach an average of 15 credits per semester through a variety of delivery modes including face-to-face, online, and interactive video conferencing.Teach courses in developmental math, general education math (college algebra, statistics, and quantitative literacy), and majors math.Maintain office hours, serve on campus committees, fulfill departmental duties, participate in curriculum development, professional development, student advisement, recruiting, etc.Perform duties associated with evaluating student progress and assessing teaching effectiveness.How to Apply:To be considered for the position, complete the following:Snow College application (available at
