Position OverviewCandidates should have a strong interest in teaching courses preferably in Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning. The candidate should also be able to teach traditional Information Systems (INSY) courses such as Introduction to INSY, Database Management, and IT Innovation and Strategy. Skills in advanced analytics, programming languages in R and Python, and emerging technologies such as Blockchain are also desired.The new faculty member will be involved in the design and support of new undergraduate and graduate programs related to INSY. Candidates with a strong publication record/potential are particularly desirable. The INSY area delivers a highly applied and experiential undergraduate major, and a related minor, that prepares students for roles in high demand, with over 91% of INSY majors receiving full-time offers and graduate school admissions within 3 months of graduation.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeach in the graduate and undergraduate Information Systems (INSY) and Analytics programsConduct high-quality researchInterface with students for advising and mentoringInterface with industry to promote and support the programContribute to the College and University through meaningful service engagementsRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEarned doctorate or a terminal degree. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high-quality research.Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesApplicants should hold a Ph.D., or be close to completing one, in Information Systems or a closely related discipline.
