Infant/Toddler Teacher

As a child’s first teacher, you will hold a very dear place in a parent’s heart forever! The privilege of caring for someone else’s baby is given only to those who are truly patient, dedicated, and compassionate individuals.

As an Infant Toddler Teacher at Primrose School of Evergreen, you will provide a safe and loving environment for babies ranging in age from six weeks to 24 months old. With a captivating curriculum of music, puppetry, and storytelling, you will provide opportunities for our youngest children to safely discover and explore their expanding world.

Carefully paired co-teacher who complements your teaching style

Assigned Support Teacher in your classroom who covers your break and planning time daily

Curriculum with clear daily plans, necessary resources, and support so you can focus your time in the classroom on forming connections with the children—and spend your time outside of school focused on yourself.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children

Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis

Provide an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making

Ensure that all class bulletin boards are current and provide parents with an overview of the material taught in class

Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds

Assist and coordinate snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities

Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director

Observe all rules and regulations about the health, safety, and care of children

Maintain a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times

Plan with Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule

Plan with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children

MUST have

12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better required (Child development, Child-family-community, Curriculum), including 3 units in Infant/Toddler.

Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred

Must meet required state background check

CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

Able to work on iPad to log children's daily activities
