Primrose School of Cupertino located at 1002 S De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA is seeking a full-time Twos teacher. The children in this classroom are ages 21 to 36 months old. Teacher: Child ratios is 1:6 or 1:8 in the classroom.

We are looking for a warm-hearted teacher who can introduce play-based activities and provide the care and love children need. The desired teacher should be fun, playful, engaging, and attentive, and must be willing to collaborate and connect with the child’s parents.

Qualifications:

MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED

12 core units classes with a grade of C or better required (child development, child-family-community, curriculum)

3 units in Infant/Toddler required

Work experience in a licensed child care facility as a teacher

Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency (Title 22) including immunization, health screening, fingerprinting, and background check

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies

Proficient computer and internet skills

Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children

Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality

Highly professional and dependable

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress

Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities:

Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children

Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis

Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making

Ensures that all class bulletin boards are current and provides parents with an overview of the material taught in class

Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds

Assists and coordinates snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities

Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director

Observes all rules and regulations about the health, safety, and care of children

Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times

Plans with Education Coach and implements approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials

Plans with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations

Performs other duties as assigned
