Primrose School of Cupertino located at 1002 S De Anza Blvd, San Jose, CA is seeking a full-time Infant Toddler teacher. The children in this classroom are ages 12 to 28 months old. Infant Teacher: Child ratio is 1:4 and Toddler Teacher: Child ratio is 1:6.

We are looking for a warm-hearted teacher who can introduce play-based activities and provide the care and love children need. The desired teacher should be fun, playful, engaging, and attentive, and must be willing to collaborate and connect with the child’s parents.

Qualifications:

MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED

12 core units classes with a grade of C or better required (child development, child-family-community, curriculum)

3 units in Infant/Toddler required

Work experience in a licensed child care facility as a teacher

Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency (Title 22) including immunization, health screening, fingerprinting, and background check

Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies

Proficient computer and internet skills

Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children

Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality

Highly professional and dependable

Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage daily functions for a class of children

Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis

Provide an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children

Ensure that all class bulletin boards are current and provide parents with an overview of the material taught in class

Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds

Assist and coordinate snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities

Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director

Observe all rules and regulations about the health, safety, and care of children

Maintain a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times

Plan with Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials

Plan with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations

Perform other duties as assigned
